Years of arthitis leading to neck fusion and hip replacement... daily use of antiinflamatory and pain meds. Started regular routine of HA and over a period of 3 months discontinued NSAIDs and pain medication... also discontinued use of Gulcosimine/Condrotin. Pain free and very good agility... as a test I discontinued HA and within about 90 days, stiffness and pain began to return. I am no disci...

This is a totally independent review and my personal experience taking Hyaluronic acid - I was researching Hyaluronic acid as a serum for my face when I came across a couple of items mentioning that it could be taken as a supplement for joint pain. I'm in my sixties and 2yrs ago had a total knee replacement due to arthritis and since then have been taking EVERY supplement available to try and reduce the pain in my other knee because going through another knee operation is something I'm not prepared to do just yet. When I read that Hyaluronic acid can be taken for joint pain I though what have I got to lose - after about three days of starting it I noticed that I was able to move more freely without much pain and having to resort to taking Ibuprofen at least two to three times a week - I thought that It was just a coincidence and for some reason the pain wasn't as bad as usual but it wouldn't last and I'd be back on the pain killers within a week, its been two months now and I'm an absolutely ecstatic because I'm am virtually pain free and haven't had to take any pain killers for the last month, only problem is that it states on the bottle that it shouldn't be taken for longer than 3 months - I contacted the company and asked why this is a recommendation and they said that because taking it as a supplement is new and not enough trials have been done to see if there are any adverse effects over a longer period. There is NO WAY I'm stopping and going back to taking horrible pain killers that definitely are no good for you, I'll do the trial for them and let them know if there are any adverse effects but for now I wake up every day expecting that the pain will return and am over joyed when the end of the day comes and I still have no pain - this for me has been a miracle supplement!Read More Read Less

I tried a hyaluronic acid supplement with powdered liposomes by a brand called Nadiol. Apparently the powdered liposomes help to increase the bioavailability of the Hyaluronic Acid. Overall I found it worked quite well, I did notice that my joints felt softer and agile while exercising.I now take it in cycles along with a number of other products.

So I started taking supplement that contains Hyaluronic Acid (HA), and after few days I have had extreme Acid Reflux. In the past I have had some acid reflux but not as severe as after taking this supplement. Having said that, I have been taking the morning (not much food on my stomach). So I will take lower dose and in the evening instead. So Be cautious it could have some acid reflux as a side effect. I haven’t read anywhere about this.

This stuff is AMAZING!!! I started taking this 3 days ago. I take 2 pills which equates to about 150 mg. My skin is unbelievably soft and supple. I have eczema and have noticed huge improvement within 24 hrs even and getting better and better each day. Trust me, this stuff is amazing. But please read articles online. If you've ever had cancer or kidney damage, do not take. This stuff feeds cancer cells.

I am African American and used a brand that was advertised on the radio. It was during the summer months. I think that the formula I used was around 500 mg. It worked fine for my arthritis but caused hyper pigmentation in both me and my sister. It darkened our skin to an unnatural looking shade. She looked like she was in cancer treatment. It took about a year for it restore my skin to normal color without dark areas. She sought professional intervention to restore her healthy looking complexion.Read More Read Less

The ISO/IEC 9126-4 approach to Usability Metrics
Effectiveness: The accuracy and completeness with which users achieve specified goals. Efficiency: The resources expended in relation to the accuracy and completeness with which users achieve goals. Satisfaction: The comfort and acceptability of use.
As a rule of thumb, the lower the effort, the higher the usability, and the better the user experience. We can gauge the effort by counting the number of observable actions that users take during their task completion journey. We know how many steps are needed from start to finish.
What are the 5 measures of usability? ›An understanding of the five characteristics of usability – effective, efficient, engaging, error tolerant, easy to learn – helps guide the user-centered design tasks to the goal of usable products.
What is a good usability test score? ›Based on research, a SUS score above a 68 would be considered above average and anything below 68 is below average, however the best way to interpret your results involves “normalizing” the scores to produce a percentile ranking.
How do you explain efficiency and effectiveness? ›Efficiency is all about reducing costs and resources required to execute on tactics. Effectiveness is about achieving strategic goals that align with the vision of the organization and drive more revenue. Often, increasing effectiveness naturally leads to an increase in efficiency.
What are the 4 levels of usability? ›For convenience, I'll refer to these four UX elements using the acronym VADU (Value, Adoptability, Desirability, Usability).
What is ease of use or usability? ›“The extent to which a product can be used by specified users to achieve specified goals, with effectiveness, efficiency and satisfaction in a specified context of use.” Usability is hence more than just about whether users can perform tasks easily (ease-of-use).
How do you evaluate usability? ›A variety of methods exist for evaluating usability. The gold standard is to test a production site with real, in-person users. Such tests can be expensive, but the data they produce is invaluable. Less costly methods include testing visual designs or conducting a heuristic review.
What are the three main types of usability evaluation? ›- Moderated vs. unmoderated.
- Remote vs. in person.
- Explorative vs. comparative.
What are the 4 types of usability test questions? ›
- Screening questions.
- Pre-test questions.
- In-test questions.
- Post-test questions.
Effective: effective to use. Efficient: efficient to use. Utility: have good utility. Learnable: easy to learn.
How do you write usability test results? ›- Number and percent of participants who completed each scenario, and all scenarios (a bar chart often works well for this)
- Average time taken to complete each scenario for those who completed the scenario.
- Satisfaction results.
- Participant comments can be included if they are illustrative.
- Determine Scope And Subjects. ...
- Ask For Consent To Record. ...
- Begin With Preliminary Information. ...
- Reassure The Subject They Are Not The Ones Being Tested. ...
- Encourage Them To Voice Their Thought Process. ...
- Give Them An Opportunity To Ask Questions Before Beginning.
Walking may be an effective way to get to the office, but driving is more efficient. Both methods will get you there, but driving takes less time and energy.
What is an example of effectiveness? ›While efficiency refers to how well something is done, effectiveness refers to how useful something is. For example, a car is a very effective form of transportation, able to move people across long distances, to specific places, but a car may not trasport people efficiently because of how it uses fuel.
How do I describe my efficiency? ›The term efficiency can be defined as the ability to achieve an end goal with little to no waste, effort, or energy. Being efficient means you can achieve your results by putting the resources you have in the best way possible. Put simply, something is efficient if nothing is wasted and all processes are optimized.
What is an example of ease of use? ›Ease of use is the usability of a product, service, tool, process or environment. Ease of use applies to a context such as an umbrella that is well suited to golfing.
What is usability in simple words? ›Usability is a quality attribute that assesses how easy user interfaces are to use. The word "usability" also refers to methods for improving ease-of-use during the design process.
What are the 5 elements of usability evaluation? ›While the ISO definition has three aspects, Nielsen divides usability into five elements, so-called attributes, which can be measured and used to specify usability objectives. They are learnability, efficiency, memorability, errors and satisfaction.
What are the examples of usability? ›
- Easy to Learn. An interface that works as users expect or that is easy to learn with a little trial and error.
- Pleasing. Environments that are pleasant to look at and interact with.
- Efficient. ...
- Controllable. ...
- Human Friendly. ...
- Error Tolerant. ...
- Error Clarity. ...
- Error Magnitude.
As an essential element in usability, efficiency measures the speed and how quick the users can accomplish the tasks once they have become familiarized with the design of an interface. Think of it as the number of keystrokes or clicks it takes a user to compelte the task.
What is the quality of usability? ›What is Usability? Usability refers to the quality of a user's experience when interacting with products or systems, including websites, software, devices, or applications. Usability is about effectiveness, efficiency and the overall satisfaction of the user.
What are the key items of usability? ›- Learnability. A usable product is easy to learn. ...
- Efficiency. An efficient product is the one that makes it easier for a user to perform his tasks quickly and effectively. ...
- Memorability. ...
- Error Tolerance. ...
- Satisfaction. ...
- Make it part of design process.
The most common method for achieving usability is user-centered design (ucd).
What are the two measures of usability? ›It can be measured through using two usability metrics: Success rate, called also completion rate and the number of errors. Success rate/ completion rate: is the percentage of users who were able to successfully complete the tasks.
What are the 7 pillars of usability? ›The success of a product depends on more than utility and usability alone. Products which are usable, useful, findable, accessible, credible, valuable and desirable are much more likely to succeed in the market place.
What is usability checklist? ›The checklist is a do-it-yourself solution for website evaluation. It lets you compare your website's interface to industry-standard “rules of thumb” for usability. By seeing how your website stacks up against accepted principles, you will come away with a better understanding of its usability strengths and weaknesses.
What is basic usability testing? ›Usability testing refers to evaluating a product or service by testing it with representative users. Typically, during a test, participants will try to complete typical tasks while observers watch, listen and takes notes.
What are the 4 usability objectives? ›Typical usability goals include speed, accuracy, overall success, or satisfaction measures.
What are the 5 basic principles of testing? ›
- Testing should show the presence of defects. Every application or product release should be tested by different teams and passed through different phases of testing. ...
- Early testing. ...
- Exhaustive testing. ...
- Testing is context-dependent. ...
- Defect clustering.
- Start with a clear goal. Figure out the question you're trying to answer with your test. ...
- Recruit participants. Recruiting test participants may seem daunting, but it doesn't need to be. ...
- Perform the test. Preparation. ...
- Analyze the results. Review the recording.
Examples include making sure users understand new features, reducing training and support costs, or discovering why people do (or don't do) something. Look for issues that make users unhappy, problems that cost the organization money, and tasks that take too long to accomplish.
What is usability testing examples? ›Usability testing is instead focused on the end-user, on how easily he was able to use the interface and if the design of the interface was friendly enough. Going back to the e-commerce shoes example, a typical question could be: Do users easily find the “buy now” button?
What are the five severity levels of usability issues? ›the degree to which an interface facilitates a user in accomplishing the task for which it was intended. This normally refers to the degree to which errors are avoided and tasks are successful, measure by “success rate” or “task completion rate”.
What is effectiveness of usability? ›Usability Framework
Effectiveness: this term refers to the accuracy and completeness of the user goal achievement. Efficiency: refers to the resources exhausted by users in order to ensure an accurate and completed achievement of the goals.
Definition: User Experience refers to the feeling users experience when using a product, application, system, or service. It is a broad term that can cover anything from how well the user can navigate the product, how easy it is to use, how relevant the content displayed is etc.
How do you write usability testing goals? ›Each group should have a problem statement/scenario with a list of research goals. For each research goal, list the relevant participant activities and behaviours. For each group of goals, write questions about what you want to ask the participants about the task they are performing.
What are effectiveness usability metrics? ›Usability metrics are a system of measurement of the effectiveness, efficiency, and satisfaction of users working with a product. To put it simply, such metrics are used to measure how easy and effective the product is for users.
How do you measure the effectiveness of a system? ›
Four measures used for estimating operational effectiveness: Frequency of use, Nature of use, Ease of use and User satisfaction. If a system is being frequently used, it is likely to be more effective based on the perspective of its end user.
